Hybridization probe

Hybridization probe Radioactive or fluorescent oligos used for detecting target RNA/DNA sequences. For South/Northern and microarray experiments, the free and bound probes are radioactive or fluorescent. For real-time PCR, the probes may become fluorescent only after binding the target DNA.
