Primer dimmer

Primer dimmer The 3'-end of one primer may pair with the 3'-end of the same primer or a different primer. The primer-primer pairs may be extended to form primer-primer dimmers. The dimmers may be further extended in subsequent cycles of PCR reactions. Primer dimmers should be avoided by better primer design. For better primer design, please visit Primo.
