Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE)

Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE)A technique for detecting single base mutations. Wild type and mutant DNAs will migrate at different speed in a denaturing gradient gel because they have different melting temperature and partially melted DNA migrates slower. In denaturing gradient gel, DNAs are melted by high concentration of urea salt. For DGGE/TGGE primer design, please visit Primo Melt.
